Frequently Asked Questions

What is this belt made from?

The Elasticated Belt combines a stretch Italian-made fabric body with a full-grain cowhide leather tip and a detachable solid brass buckle. The stretch fabric provides all-day comfort and a precise fit without the need for holes, while the leather tip adds a refined finishing touch that develops character over time.

Will this belt fit my waist, and how does it adjust?

The belt fastens anywhere along the strap -- there are no holes, so you can find the exact fit you need without any tools or alterations. Simply thread the strap through the buckle and pull to your preferred tightness. The Italian stretch fabric gives with your body throughout the day, making it especially comfortable for long periods of sitting or movement. Available in multiple sizes, so select the closest to your waist measurement for the best starting point.

How do I care for this belt?

The stretch fabric can be spot-cleaned with a damp cloth -- avoid soaking or machine washing, which can affect the elasticity. The leather tip benefits from an occasional application of leather balm to keep it supple, and should be kept away from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. The brass buckle can be wiped clean with a dry cloth. Stored flat or rolled, the belt holds its shape well over time.

Is the buckle detachable, and can I swap it for a different style?

Yes -- the buckle is secured with a simple snap mechanism, making it straightforward to detach and replace. This means you can switch between buckle styles to match different outfits, or simply swap a worn buckle without replacing the entire belt. The strap's universal width fits standard buckle sizes, giving you flexibility to personalise the look. When purchasing a replacement buckle, ensure it matches the strap width for a flush, gap-free fit.
