    EXTERIOR

    FULL GRAIN LEATHER

Full-grain leather is the gold standard, because it remains untouched by sanding, shaving, or splitting, it retains the hide’s original strength and character.

At Jekyll & Hide, we favour this uncompromising material because it doesn’t just last; it matures. Every mark and natural variation tells a story, developing a rich patina that makes every piece uniquely yours.

    INTERIOR

    100% RECYCLED LININGS

We are replacing 95% of our fabrics with 100% recycled PET from discarded bottles. Our innovative process transforms plastic waste into a high-performance, water-resistant polyester that prevents landfill buildup for over 1,000 years. By choosing our infinitely recyclable linings, you are supporting a circular system that aligns modern production with nature’s ecosystem.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is this notebook cover made from, and how does the leather age?

This notebook cover is bound in full-grain, naturally tanned cowhide leather -- the same premium material used across the entire collection. The cover develops a rich, personal patina with every use, and the leather's natural texture means no two notebook covers look exactly alike over time. Pair it with any standard A5 notebook or diary, available separately, and the combination grows more personal with every page.

What fits inside this notebook cover?

This notebook cover is sized to neatly hold your everyday essentials -- your notebook sits snugly in the leather sleeve, with additional slots for cards and a pen loop. The leather exterior adds protection and a refined finish, while the compact dimensions mean it fits inside a larger bag, backpack, or suitcase without eating into packing space.

How do I care for the leather on this notebook cover?

The natural leather requires only simple care to look its best for years. Wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth periodically to remove dust, and apply a small amount of quality leather balm or cream every few months to maintain suppleness. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat sources, which can dry the hide. If the leather gets wet, let it air-dry at room temperature -- the natural oils in the tanning process give it good inherent resistance to light moisture.

Is this notebook cover suitable as a gift?

Absolutely -- it arrives in premium packaging that's ready to present without additional wrapping. The quality of the full-grain leather is immediately evident upon unboxing, making a strong first impression. Because the leather develops a unique patina with use, the recipient receives something that becomes more personal and characterful over time -- a gift that genuinely improves with age rather than fading.
