    EXTERIOR

    FULL GRAIN LEATHER

Full-grain leather is the gold standard, because it remains untouched by sanding, shaving, or splitting, it retains the hide’s original strength and character.

At Jekyll & Hide, we favour this uncompromising material because it doesn’t just last; it matures. Every mark and natural variation tells a story, developing a rich patina that makes every piece uniquely yours.

    100% RECYCLED LININGS

We are replacing 95% of our fabrics with 100% recycled PET from discarded bottles. Our innovative process transforms plastic waste into a high-performance, water-resistant polyester that prevents landfill buildup for over 1,000 years. By choosing our infinitely recyclable linings, you are supporting a circular system that aligns modern production with nature’s ecosystem.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is this backpack made from, and how does the leather age?

This backpack is crafted from full-grain, naturally tanned cowhide leather -- a premium material selected for its durability and rich character. Unlike synthetically treated leathers, the natural vegetable-tanning process means the hide develops a unique patina over time, deepening in tone and character with every use. The result is a backpack that looks better the longer you use it, with a finish that becomes distinctly yours.

What size laptop will fit in this backpack?

This backpack features a dedicated, padded internal compartment specifically designed to securely house laptops up to 17 inches. Whether you carry a compact ultrabook or a larger business laptop, the compartment keeps your device snug and protected throughout your commute or travels. The padded construction absorbs everyday impacts, while the slim silhouette ensures the backpack stays streamlined and professional.

    Is this backpack RFID secure?

Yes -- this backpack includes an integrated RFID-blocking pocket designed to safeguard your contactless cards and digital data from unauthorised scanning. Simply store your cards or passport in the designated pocket and your sensitive information is shielded from electronic pickpockets, giving you peace of mind in crowded airports, trains, and city streets. There's no activation required; the protection works passively the moment your cards are inside.

How is the backpack organised inside -- will it keep my gear sorted?

Beyond the padded laptop compartment, the interior features multiple specialised pockets for organising your everyday carry -- from notebooks and documents to cables and chargers. External pockets provide quick access to your phone, transit card, or keys without opening the main compartment. A rear trolley slip lets you slide the backpack over your luggage handle for hands-free movement through airports.
