Frequently Asked Questions

What is this strap made from, and how does the leather age?

This strap is crafted from full-grain, naturally tanned cowhide leather -- a premium material selected for its durability and rich character. Unlike synthetically treated leathers, the natural vegetable-tanning process means the hide develops a unique patina over time, deepening in tone and character with every use. The result is a strap that looks better the longer you use it, with a finish that becomes distinctly yours.

What bags is this strap compatible with?

This strap is designed to be fully interchangeable, attaching securely to a wide range of bags via standard clip or buckle fittings. The adjustable length lets you set it for crossbody, shoulder, or shorter carry -- simply slide the buckle to your preferred position. Check the attachment type on your bag to confirm compatibility, or pair it with any bag in the collection for a coordinated look.

How do I care for the leather on this strap?

The natural leather requires only simple care to look its best for years. Wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth periodically to remove dust, and apply a small amount of quality leather balm or cream every few months to maintain suppleness. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat sources, which can dry the hide. If the leather gets wet, let it air-dry at room temperature -- the natural oils in the tanning process give it good inherent resistance to light moisture.

Is this strap suitable as a gift?

Absolutely -- it arrives in premium packaging that's ready to present without additional wrapping. The quality of the full-grain leather is immediately evident upon unboxing, making a strong first impression. Because the leather develops a unique patina with use, the recipient receives something that becomes more personal and characterful over time -- a gift that genuinely improves with age rather than fading.
