    FULL GRAIN LEATHER

Full-grain leather is the gold standard, because it remains untouched by sanding, shaving, or splitting, it retains the hide’s original strength and character.

At Jekyll & Hide, we favour this uncompromising material because it doesn’t just last; it matures. Every mark and natural variation tells a story, developing a rich patina that makes every piece uniquely yours.

    100% RECYCLED LININGS

We are replacing 95% of our fabrics with 100% recycled PET from discarded bottles. Our innovative process transforms plastic waste into a high-performance, water-resistant polyester that prevents landfill buildup for over 1,000 years. By choosing our infinitely recyclable linings, you are supporting a circular system that aligns modern production with nature’s ecosystem.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is this crossbody bag made from, and how does the leather age?

This crossbody bag is crafted from full-grain, naturally tanned cowhide leather -- a premium material selected for its durability and rich character. Unlike synthetically treated leathers, the natural vegetable-tanning process means the hide develops a unique patina over time, deepening in tone and character with every use. The result is a crossbody bag that looks better the longer you use it, with a finish that becomes distinctly yours.

How do I adjust the strap, and what fits inside this crossbody bag?

The strap is fully adjustable, letting you set the length for crossbody, shoulder, or hip-level wear -- simply slide the buckle to your preferred position. Inside, the main compartment comfortably holds your phone, wallet, keys, and a few other everyday essentials. Dedicated pockets help keep smaller items organised so you can find what you need without rummaging. The compact profile means it sits close to the body without bouncing or shifting, even during a brisk walk or commute.

Is this crossbody bag RFID secure?

Yes -- this crossbody bag includes an integrated RFID-blocking pocket designed to safeguard your contactless cards and digital data from unauthorised scanning. Simply store your cards or passport in the designated pocket and your sensitive information is shielded from electronic pickpockets -- whether you're navigating a busy train station, airport, or city street. There's no activation required; the protection works passively the moment your cards are inside.

How do I care for the leather on this crossbody bag?

The natural leather requires only simple care to look its best for years. Wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth periodically to remove dust, and apply a small amount of quality leather balm or cream every few months to maintain suppleness. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat sources, which can dry the hide. If the leather gets wet, let it air-dry at room temperature -- the natural oils in the tanning process give it good inherent resistance to light moisture.
